Guoxin's Tremella Fungus Drying Process

2025-08-19

Traditional Tremella fungus drying methods have low drying efficiency, resulting in low production efficiency, high energy consumption, and difficult manual operation. To ensure uniform drying, dedicated supervision and manual turning of the piles are required, which can damage and contaminate the finished product.

Using Guoxin's air-source heat pump Tremella fungus dryer can significantly shorten the Tremella fungus drying cycle, reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, effectively utilize heat from the air, significantly reduce labor costs, and significantly improve the drying quality of the Tremella fungus. Using our heat pump Tremella fungus dryer as an example, we will introduce the Tremella fungus drying process.

1. After harvesting Tremella fungus, trim the base of the ear and remove any debris. Then, soak the Tremella fungus in a pool of clean water for 40-60 minutes to allow it to fully absorb the water and then rinse. Remove any debris adhering to the ear pieces, leaving them translucent and bright. This also allows the fruiting bodies to become fluffy and the petals to expand, resulting in a beautiful appearance and well-shaped flower. 2. Place the soaked and cleaned Tremella fuciformis, petals facing up, on the sieve tray. Once the water has slightly dried, place the Tremella fuciformis in the drying room.
3. The initial drying temperature is 40°C. Avoid excessively high temperatures, as this will cause curling and irregular shrinkage if moisture is not properly removed. When the moisture content of the Tremella fuciformis drops to approximately 30%, proceed to the second drying stage.
4. Raise the drying room temperature to 50-60°C and dry for 6-10 hours. When the tremella fuciformis are nearly dry but the base is still not completely dry, lower the temperature to 30-40°C until the dried Tremella fuciformis is dry. The moisture content of the finished product should be between 10% and 12%.
